As external forces outside of institutions continue to change, colleges and universities frequently alter their curriculum to keep pace. While some changes drastically alter offerings, such as a college re-orienting its curriculum around health-related majors, other changes appear small, such as eliminating adding a course or two. However, regardless of the change, curriculum changes can be controversial due to their impact on an institutions's academic offerings and personnel decisions.
